A person who has to bake a loaf of bread to earn the money to buy a slice of bread is not free (unknown).
Growing up with parents who had no knowledge or interest in entrepreneurship, I was encouraged me to go to school, get a degree and get a better job than them both since they were both teachers. So I did just that and managed to get a bachelor of Science in Building Science
However when I started working I realized there was something missing in my life. I would often feel empty and felt I wasn’t just living but simply existing hence my resort to start researching about life through books. When I did that I changed the way i was looking at things and started seeing things differently . One thing ive come to realize is that formal education makes you think a certain way. It is true that a bird born in a cage thinks flying is an illness. That is why Jim Rohn said “Formal education will earn you a living, self education will earn you a fortune”. I noticed that the people who dropped out of school where forced to think beyond school and that forced them to become creative and since they knew it is difficult to get a job without formal education, they remained with no choice but to create jobs while those with formal education mostly focused on getting a job.
In school you learn to get a job, but if you want to be successful you must learn to think beyond a job (Robert Kiyosaki). Today when you start a topic on entrepreneurship and formal education, people even get upset. They will tell you all sorts of reasons why been an employee is better and of course the common one being entrepreneurship is not for everyone. While I agree that not everyone can be entrepreneur, I also believe anyone can be an entrepreneur. No one was born an employee or employer. We have all been given opportunities to choose. No one was given a bad life or a good life, we have all been given a life and it’s up to us to make it good or bad. I don’t know about you but I choose the best for myself God said I will be the head and not the tail. Let those who want to be tails be.
Please get me clearly here, formal education is not bad and if not for it, I don’t think I would be writing this English, it is just obsolete and was designed to make one think in a particular way so you need to keep upgrading your self. It is made to make one think like an employee so that you can be dependent. It is easy to be controlled when you are dependent on something not someone. That is why the people you keep are called dependents because they depend on you and they can easily agree even when you set rules for them.
Did you know that the best way to keep a someone in prison is by not letting them know they are in prison? Besides you are helping someone push their mission in a job. The fact that you can’t edit their mission or Vision when you are employed tells you all you need to know. Nothing wrong with being an employee but at some point, you should also start employing. How do you stay in a job for 45 years with the increasing population? How do you expect the young ones to be employed If you are not creating employment?
Many people have academic qualifications sadly because their degrees have limited their thinking, they cannot think of creating jobs for themselves. Mostly people are scared of starting because they usually think of doing it themselves which formal education emphasized on. If they would cooperate and get together it would be easier but since at school they were taught that cooperating was copying they usually resist such. And yes they don’t believe in sharing opportunities because they grow up believing for them to pass someone else has to fail like in primary school where everyone wanted to pass number 1 not realizing that each one is unique in their own way.
You where born to do more than just go to school, get a job , pay bills and die. Don’t settle for such just because they majority is doing it. Don’t follow the crowd. Be different to make a difference.
