Vivaah

“VIVAH”, which is the Pure Hindi meaning of marriage, is also the name of recently released super hit movie by Rajshri Productions, which has by far become one of my favorite movies which I love to see whenever I get time. The theme of this movie is as simple as the original meaning of the word “Vivah” is. But the need of the time is to understand the deep meaning of this word.

Marriage is one of the most unforgettable moment of someone’s life which not only shows the start of a new relationship but also marks the start of an entirely new life of a person. But nowadays the meaning of this sacred word is getting changed in our country also. The reason may be anything, may be cultural degradation due to Western countries, changing morals among our society only or anything else. But still people are there who believes in the power of this word which is not just a simple word but a magical cure for all problems in the life, depending on the way how we treat it, because on ill-treating it can become life’s most painful wound also.

Many scientific researches have also proven that a married person is happier more than an unmarried person and lives a longer life if his/her married life is successful. But nowadays people are not ready to take the responsibilities of a partner on their shoulders that is the reason they want to live single or believe in havoc relationships like Live-In relationships. This may be considered as an escapist behavior may be whatever name someone else gives to this attitude but according to me it’s truly an escapist behavior.

Live-In relationships, Gay and Lesbian relationships, Single living cultures are all those ills that the West has given to the society. It is a worldwide fact that Indians are more mature, responsible, and faithful in relationships than any other person of any other country in this world. But the Western Philosophy is changing this scenario. Their culture is trying to change our mindset and degrade us as much as it can. If they are not responsible enough to take the responsibility of someone else than why should we also follow their path?

The young generation should think at once that if their parents have also adopted all these culture would they have been born or would they have got such a nice environment around them full of cultural diversity, blessings of old people, love of near and dear ones and many unique parameters in its own which is not found anywhere in the world at such a large scale as it is in our society.

I know that in today’s competitive world (highly competitive) a person has to continuously struggle hard to get success and to remain there for a long period. But this cannot be a reason to unmarried (I am not criticizing someone’s personal reason to remain unmarried). If someone look at this situation in a different way than our life partner can be the best moral boosting person, best friend in our life upon whom we can completely become dependent that yes someone will be there to hold me, to stand with me even if everybody else in the entire world criticizes me.

If we look around us then we will find that even the most successful person in our society today are married (most of them) and are living a successful and happy married life (exceptions are still there) may that person be Sachin Tendulkar or Amitabh Bachchan or N R Narayanmurthy or Lakshmi Mittal or The Ambani Brothers or anyone else whose name we can think of. There married lives never become a hurdle in their life but instead their life partners were their best supporters in life.

Now we should analyze that we are not more successful than anyone of these person or we have not either faced more problems than they did neither did we had done that much of hard work that all these people did in their life and are still doing successfully. If they are living both personal and professional life successfully than can’t we also achieve like that or should we still adopt the escapist attitude (as per my views)? If my opinion is asked then my answer will be the first one that is to get married and travel on the path of life and success holding the hand of my life partner with comport crossing all hurdles successfully and be remembered as the champion of the game of life.
