Education is considered as one of the best gifts a human being can give to another. Even God appreciates it and that is why a teacher is considered more important than God because he is the one in a student’s life who tells him/her about the importance of the God.
But to my astonishment I can find that nowadays education system is not as pure as it was in early days. Even in India only the meaning of education is changed completely as the course of time has changed. Nowadays teacher-student relationship cannot become as student as those were in earlier days. What is the main reason of the degradation of education system nowadays?
Even the Government, despite of all the efforts (as said by them), is not able to completely raise the level of degrading education system in India. Some of you might not agree with my views but it is a true fact and even I can also prove it. And not only I, even if all of us open our eyes than we can see the condition of present education system around our nearby only.
I am able to say these words with confidence because I have been a part of this education system for last 20 years and I have seen everything in front of my eyes only, especially in my college life.
Let us start from school life in India. In our country the parents send their children to school with the hope that they will not only learn something but also develop themselves to become a good citizen, but in many school the teachers give harsh punishments to the children without even thinking that what could be the consequence of such punishment. In many cases the students gets severely hurt, or becomes physically handicapped or sometimes may even lose their life because of these punishments. We all can read such incidents every now and then occurring in almost all the areas of the country in the leading newspapers of the town or the country.
Not only this, the parents are forced to stay quiet by the school management otherwise they can even cause the career of their child to sink. And after such punishments also parents have to pay such a huge amount of extra fees charged by the school that it weighs more than the total budget of all other members of the family sometimes. How pathetic situation is this? And nobody is able to take serious action against such criminal offenses, not even the government or the NGO’s or any parent or any one else. Whatever may e the reason is behind this, I don’t know but it is true otherwise if government would have taken any serious action than this problem must have been controlled till now but it is not at present.
Now after all such hardships even if a student reaches the college than also his college life is not easy. The education system in college is more corrupt than it is in schools. First of all most of the professors in the colleges(especially engineering colleges of Madhya Pradesh)are not well talented to teach so many students. But they are residing their because of either their contacts or because of the reservation system.
When such professors give boring lectures in class then half of the class sleeps and half don’t attend the class. At last these professors give sessional marks to only those students who had done buttering so much that they are fully satisfied with them. Talent of the student does not come in between in this case. Even if some students argue with them then they have a chance to get failed but their marks will not be improved by any how if the professor does not want.
In my college some professors were so frustrated watching the success of the students that they said to the students openly that they are not interested in any of the campus placement activities of the student as it is an extra curricular activity according to their view but on the other hand those professors were only among the first ones to take sweets from the students on their selection in big companies. Those kind of professors are actually good for nothing who just take out their frustration on the students y reducing his/her internal marks so that his/her grade could get affected and he/she could even be thrown out of the job by their companies due to poor performance in education field. But they do not know that the almighty God is there who never let her people down who are correct.
At this point of life I do not want to curse any one but just want to highlight the ills in the education system surrounding ourselves which somehow directly or indirectly is hampering the development of the young generation as well as the development of the country also.
Some people might think that I am totally with students.No, I am absolutely not. Most of the times students are also wrong, but the thing is that the students who are a little bit innocent are not completely responsible for the ills in the education system or the wrong things happening in the campus. They have to be treated properly by the professors or lecturers so that they can e prevented from forces which mislead them. But due to their self-echo or self-pride most of the professors do not think on this step and it is a true fact.
India is a country which is known in the entire world because of the depth as well as the quality of education provided here to the students but nowadays many ill forces are also getting embedded in the education system which is harmful to the education system and the country both and necessary steps should be taken y all of us to get rid of them because after all it is the matter of our country’s pride may be directly or indirectly.
Just think of the issues which I have tried to raise here and if some mistake has been found in my views by anyone than just please forgive me. My aim was not to hurt anyone but just to point out some odds in the current education system.
