Budgeting Time and Money by Johnnie Lloyd

Answering yes to 5 out of 6 questions could be good, however not that day. The day that my reality answered yes to being homeless, divorced, judged by others, and facing possibility of death due to illness. It was not a choice I volunteered for; however, it was reality until the book my parents gave me years ago, Think and Grow Rich (TAGR) resurfaced. I say resurfaced because it was a gift, I never read or put into practice, but now desperate, hurting, and hungry. My newborn baby; became my why. Knowing why intensified my intentions.

Yes, I had a degree, and a job but still homeless, me and my baby sleeping on orange shag carpet in this ladies home. Then one day I snapped and realized this was reality but was not our truth with tears flowing; I took responsibility not blame and harnessed my control. The next step was just start, every available moment reading and immediately applying the principles. It started with fighting for my life and stepping from fear into actionable faith. Persistent and bold actions presented opportunities to transform my mindset, grow, and heal. Faith in God and TAGR principles allowed us to travel the world, impact lives internationally – grow from homelessness to millionaire status. Not to impress anyone but encourage us to work the principles daily as we continue to be a guiding light in communities and globally. Anyone can and everyone should “Think and Grow Rich”.

“Tell me how you use your spare time and how you spend your money, and I will tell you where and what you will be 10 years from now.” -Napoleon Hill
Fear is a real emotion, however, the key is not to allow it to take control. We have the power through the activation and focus of our time and money to come against fear. Peace of mind against fear can start with control over our time and money. We all get 24 hours a day, regardless of our age, race, gender, education, or social-economic status. Time has no pre-judgment or qualifications as long there is breathe in our body; we exchange time for what we value. The question “Is what you exchange your time for today giving you value and does it align with your purpose.” Time is one and done, once it is used you do not get it back, now money is different.

Yes, money is different since you can get more of it. Remember money nor time is good or evil; it is not emotional, intellectual, or spiritual, it is factual. You have it or you don’t, each breath confirms we are alive at this moment. Money takes on the value we give it and magnifies who has possession of it. When we direct money and time toward our purpose it counteracts fear, releases power, faith, and self-control. Utilizing our time and money toward our purpose, casts our vote to live and leave a legacy.

“WHATEVER THE MIND CAN CONCEIVE AND BELIEVE IT CAN ACHIEVE” -Napoleon Hill
Consider each moment and money as an opportunity to go towards your burning desire, hope, faith, purpose, passion, and dreams. Fight for it – go for the greatness that is within you with persistence, patience and yes perspiration. Fight to be all you can by establishing wealth consciousness through principles of Budgeting your Resources (Time and Money)

Utilizing these two tools to transform to your next level of success in any area of your life, profession, and or company starts within. Yes within, the focus for so many is the money and yes that is a measuring stick that is easy to see externally. The deeper truth, however, is that people are more important than money, without people what is the purpose of success, money, passion, purpose. We need never forget the power of people and start working from the inside out to be our best – the money will show up with the right people, in the right place doing the right things. Value your greatest asset – value yourself and value others as you continue to Think and Grow Rich.
